Narendra Dev University of Agriculture and Technology (NDUAT) was established in 1975 as the 3rd Agricultural University of the state. The foundation stone of Narendra Dev University of Agriculture & Technology was was laid by the then Prime Minister of India late Smt. Indira Gandhi on January 15, 1974 led by at Mashodha near Faizabad city. In 1975 the government of U.P. decided to locate the main campus of the University at kumarganj, Faizabad instead of Mashodha. NDUAT campus is spread over an area of 16,000 hectares.
