Bijapur Liberal District Education Association (BLDE ) was established in 1910. It is a century old association involved in propagation of education in the Bijapur district and Bagalkot district which are recognized as socially, economically and educationally back word areas by then British Government and present UGC. In the year 1942 a visionary religious leader Shri Shri Sanganabasaveshwar Maha Shivayogigalu of Banthanal, laid a firm foundation to BLDEA with establishment of institutes of collegiate education.
