About

Swami Vivekanand Vidya Prasarak Mandals College Of Commerce
Swami Vivekananda Vidyaprasarak Mandal (SVVM) was founded in 1985. Vivekananda Vidyalaya High School was started in 1986. Higher Secondary School of Commerce and Vocational Education came into existence in 1994. The science stream was started in 2011.
KG & Primary School, now known as a ‘Model’ school in primary education is based on Puducherry model of Sri Aurobindo Ashram, was founded in 1996. With an intention to stop the drop-outs in and around Borim Village, we took the initiative to open the doors of distance education by way of opening a study center of NIOS. We are also the official center for NIOS since 1996.
Starting with just 33 students, a rented residential building & a handful of Teaching and non-teaching staff, we have moved to three different well-equipped buildings owned by the management with a plinth area of more than 3000 sqm. Now, we enroll more than one thousand students every year.
We believe in the all-round development of the students along with their academic performance & hence, various activities are organized in all the units. Same will also be continued in our new college section.
After completing 28 years in the education field & on the eve of the 150th birth anniversary celebration of Swami Vivekanand, we are proud to announce the degree programs in B.B.A & B.Com in our newly constituted “College of Commerce”. The College was started in June 2013.
