About Solapur University
The Governor of Maharashtra established the Punyashlok Ahilyadevi Holkar Solapur University on August 1, 2004, and inaugurated it on August 3, 2004. Both undergraduate and postgraduate courses are available at the University of Solapur in the fields of arts, social sciences, business, law, management, engineering, and technology. Solapur University is regarded by UGC as one of the top institutions in the area and received a ‘B’ grade from NAAC in its accreditation. Around 60,000 students are served by the approximately 35.5-acre Solapur University campus.
Solapur University's admission to some of its courses is determined by an entrance exam organised by the university itself. Every year, the university administers the Solapur University Common Entrance Test (SU CET) based on the results, applicants are called for admission and shortlisted. Academic activities at the University of Solapur campus are exciting to both teachers and students and see equal participation of all.
Solapur University has collaborated and signed memorandums of understanding with a few national organisations. The University of Solapur signed these memoranda of understanding and formed these partnerships to develop various technologies internally. Solapur University Placements
Solapur University placement cell prepares students for job interviews and organises seminars, guest lectures, industry tours, and other activities. Each year, between 70 and 80 per cent of the students are placed. Most of the students are chosen from the CSE department. The University of Solapur's highest package received in 2020 placements was Rs 9 LPA and the average salary was Rs 3 LPA. Solapur University Cut-Off
Solapur University cut-off 2023 has not been released yet. The University of Solapur cut-off 2023 will be released once the qualifying/ entrance exams are concluded. The merit list will consist of candidates who are eligible for admission to the course of their choice. Facilities of Solapur University
Library: The Solapur University library is a huge source of information and is a prime requisite for any learning and research institute. The Knowledge Research Centre has a collection of over 26,303 volumes that include various books, theses, dissertations, journals, and special publications. In addition, it has subscribed to 90 national and 26 international research journals. The students are provided with a spacious reading room with 115 students. The college also provides various OPAC services, bibliographical services, reference and information services.
Health Centre: The health centre of Solapur University provides all kinds of primary medical care & facilities to the college staff and students. It is equipped with basic medical equipment such as an ECG machine, Glucometer, Nebulizer, Autoclave, Body Mass Analyzer, Pulse-oximeter, Sterilizer, Fowler Bed, InfraRed Lamp, Cervical & Lumbar Traction Unit etc. The centre cures around 3500 patients every year. A regular medical officer assisted by a female nursing staff and a Pharmacist also visits the college. Basic primary medicines are provided free of cost to all patients. In addition, a lady doctor has been appointed on a visiting basis for the convenience of girls.
Hostel: The Solapur University hostel can accommodate 500 boys and 200 girls. The campus is Wi-Fi connected, including hostel rooms, corridors, a Canteen, and a cafeteria. It also offers laundry facilities to the students.
Canteen: The campus has canteen facilities that provide hygienic food at affordable prices. It also has a cafeteria, fast food centre and fruit juice outlets serving snacks and refreshments.
Generator Backup: The entire campus of the Institute is provided with 125 KVA generators backup. It facilitates a continuous, uninterrupted power supply avoiding any inconvenience to the students during practicals or examinations. In addition, the computers on the campus are backed by 6 KVA online UPS individually in each lab.
Wi-Fi: The Solapur University infrastructure offers Wi-Fi services in open spaces. Individual student’s login has been given to give them free storage at the server wherein they can take the backup of their day-to-day data/ program files. It gives a lot of flexibility to the students, and their physical location becomes immaterial to carry out the completion of their assignments.
Sports Centre: Solapur University has already developed an international standard sports complex for indoor and outdoor games. The swimming pool facility with separate timings for ladies and gents is also available.
